The chicken fount waterer base has a 100 watt thermostatically controlled heater built into it.
During the winter, simply plug the attached cord into an extension cord, and the unit will work automatically, keeping the water in the 3-gallon reservoir from freezing down to 0°F. It has a unique bottom-fill feature and is ideal for year-round use.
